NEW DELHI: A major fire broke out at a candle manufacturing unit at Naraina Industrial Area late on Friday night. It took nearly four hours forthe fire tenders to douze the fire but no casualty was reported.
According to the fire officials, the fire was reported at the candle manufacturing unit at 1 am after which 25 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. It took nearly four hours to control the blaze. Also goods worth several lakhs were gutted in the fire, said a fire official.
The police said that fire seems to have started due to short circuit but the actual cause of the fire will be established after investigations. A case has been registered at Naraina police station. Link...
