Nine die in road mishap on Motorway

PESHAWAR, Nine persons died and six received injuries, two of them critical, as a pick-up van rammed into an oil tanker near Rashakhai Interchange on Motorway in Nowshera district on Tuesday. DSP Motorway Police, Malik Riaz informed APP that a Hiace pick-up carrying passengers from Peshawar to Rawalpindi hit the oil tanker from the rear side as the driver lost control due to sleep. As a result, six persons died on the spot and six others received injuries. Three passengers died while on way to hospital, DSP added.
