Roberts film angers villagers?

Julia Roberts has apparently angered Hindu villagers in India after their temple was closed to film scenes for her latest movie during an important religious festival.

The Oscar-winning actress is reportedly being protected by 350 guards, including 40 gunmen, bulletproof cars and a helicopter while she films Eat, Pray, Love at Ashram Hari Mandir, near Delhi.

Villagers hoping to celebrate Navratri, nine days of worship of their Goddess Durga, were angered when they found the temple sealed off by Julia's security team, the Daily Telegraph reports.

One said: "Entry for devotees is barred. We were not allowed to enter and pray in the morning by the security. Only those who could manage to sneak in did so but most of us were all sent back. It's Navratras and we must not be stopped from visiting a temple."

Another threatened: "I am going to barge in for the evening aarti (ritual). Let's see who stops me. What is it that they are shooting that we cannot even enter our own temple."

Julia is staying at Pataudi Palace, the family home of former Indian cricket captain Tiger Pataudi and his Bollywood star son Saif Ali Khan. Link...
